Family Time
“Family Time” is an important part of our online Sunday service. Each week our Children’s Education Leader offers a new activity designed to help families remain connected to their faith, community, and each other. Activities are posted to our website as a “Family Time” blog. And…follow “Family Time” on our Facebook page.
Mother’s Day Poetry
There are lots of poems out there about moms. LOTS. And like prayers, sometimes one someone else has composed captures perfectly how you feel, but sometimes the right words need to come straight from your heart. So this year, write a Mother’s Day poem!
Bible Travel Posters!
If you’ve ever seen a vintage travel poster, you know how they use bold text, bright colors, and enticing graphics to “sell” their destination. The design process must have been a lot of fun. Well, you and your family can get in on the fun by creating your own travel poster…for a biblical destination!
An Earth Day Pledge
Sometimes it seems like Earth Day comes into our orbit on April 22 of each year, then swiftly moves out of the reach of our thoughts. But this year, we encourage you to make a connection between your relationship to the earth and your relationship to your faith, a connection that will help you hold onto the spirit of Earth Day long after the calendar has moved on!
Donate a Book Day
Of all the “holidays” one could choose to observe, today’s is uniquely worthwhile: it’s National Donate a Book Day! Going through your books and creating a donation pile is a great way to practice letting go of things you don’t need anymore. It also presents an opportunity to talk about with your kids about where their books will go next and who they will help – and to that end, there are so many options we’d like to share with you!
